I’m Axel, an iOS developer, AI enthusiast, and Ruby on Rails amateur.
I got into iOS development in 2010 after struggling to click with web development. Objective-C just made sense, and I never looked back.
My first job in iOS was at Polsense, a mobile consulting company in Puerto Rico. We helped businesses move from websites to mobile apps, working with banks, government agencies, and healthcare providers. The company grew into a startup called Campodata. An app that handled huge offline reports—sometimes with over 500 images per form. The UI was super vanilla, but the technical challenges kept things exciting.
After Hurricane Maria in 2017, I moved to Orlando and joined a San Francisco startup working remote as a Technical Product Manager. It was a wild ride—until the company shut down right before COVID.
Since then, I’ve been working independently as an iOS consultant, which gives me the freedom to build my own apps. Over the past few years, I’ve launched multiple fitness apps and started diving into AI and legal tech.
These days, I’m focused on sharing what I know about iOS development while exploring AI and building useful tools. If you’re into that kind of thing, stick around.
